This week we're highlighting stallions. And what better to start off then with this gorgeous horse?
Meet "Hampton" a beautiful black Dressage stallion.
The video, also well produced; when promoting your stallion to the world through a video, this is a great perspective with the narration and correct display of this horse's personality, talents and capabilities is appealing to the serious breeder.

Top Picks; Equestrian Short Films
Fairfield County Hunt Club - Sight & Sound
This is a lovely short film about the Fairfield County Hunt Club. This is the kind of substance I look for in equestrian videos and you too, should enjoy watching this.
"It is a sort of montage documentary to capture the sights and some sounds of a location."
Located in Westport, Connecticut, the Fairfield County Hunt Club offers not only picturesque views but appeal to the palate with fine dinning in the club-house. But lets not forget the sport-ehtusiast who can enjoy what this georgeous club has to offer, including swimming, tennis and not to mention catering to the equestrian. With 120 stalls and over 34 acres of open fields, riding rings including two indoor and three outdoor and a polo field, this is truly a place for the discriminating equestrian.

Top Picks: Colored Horses
Chariwari a lovely 4 year old skewbald jumper.
"Presents herself in sends brown and tightness white, a genuine unikat. Flexibly in the motion, equipped with dynamics in the hind leg and very good basic paces. The Oldenburg mare unites the achievement blood of Collin L on the paternal side, with a mother mare, which brings page on the lady killer bloods and on the other side the color in the play. Chariwari is very well at the jump - a great show jumping sport horse of the future."

Top Picks; Winter Fit for the Equestrian
What to do during the winter. A cold, gloomy, rainy day, tromping through mud and muck, how do we keep our feet warm, dry and yes, equestrian fashion wise? Horses are not for the clean freak mind you, but here at CO we like to match good taste, with a nice tromp in the muck. Fashion meets horses, for real. With that in mind, I'd like to introduce the Wellington Boot!
These boots were designed by the First Duke of Wellington. And has been seen on the feet of royals including the late Lady Diana Spencer who "was photographed in 1980 a pair of green Hunters boots." Apparently boosting sales and keeping the company in oats. And also being endsorsed by some well-known names in fashion such as Chanel and Gucci.
What is to love about this classic staple in boot fashion? These boots are practical; a highly usable form of foot protection that just happens to appeal to the masses. Just as practical as they are, these boots are also nice on the eyes. Clean lined, simple, but detailed.
"Part of their enduring appeal is the curvaceous cut of the boot, which is very flattering. The slight heel and supportive instep only serve to make them feel more stylish than the capacious wellies of our childhood. As one fashionista pointed out this week: "They are Manolos for muddy days." - Why We All Loves Wellies
When mucking stalls, in the saddle or on your way from the car to the barn, these boots will not only take you in timeless style, but also in sound keepings, for your iron bound toes.

Top Picks; Colored Horses
Having been around some competitors in the english world, I've heard the notion that there are politics when it comes to showing a colored equine. Why is this and what exactly seems to be the issue? That's a question, that will have it's own series here at CO. But for now, let's marvel at the lovely colored english sport horses in the show ring.
Pictured above is a lovely colored horse at the Texas Rose Horse Park.

English Equestrian Blogs Top Picks - December
I'm proud to announce my top pick in the category of blogs for the month of December.
Citizen Horse
I love this blog, written from a witty and honest perspective. Always appealing to me, as the topics are always interesting, some simple that only an equestrian could think of and some bringing to world stage to light. Check out the latest post; "Clipping - Fashion or Function."
There are some real hot topics on the blog such as, "Hunters, Not a Sport" and some topics straight from a horse owner such as, "Barn Hours Suck."
Yes no matter if you're a hands-on horse owner or an occasional rider, you will find these articles worth reading!

Top Picks; Indoor Arenas No. 1
As an equestrian, without arena's we wouldn't have such fine places to school and enjoy a ride. An indoor arena is price-less for it offers shelter from the elements, allowing riding and training to occur year-round. Not to mention, arena's offer appeal to the eye, some beautiful architectural displays. And who wouldn't want to step into one of these? Let alone ride in one? For the next coming months, we will be talking about indoor arena's and taking a look at some fine examples of such beautiful riding rings through-out the world.
This weeks indoor arena "top pick" is located at Donida Farm in Auburn Washington, United States. The "international indoor arena" is 70 x 150 and offers much appeal to they eye.
